You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and assist with access points and visitor flow as needed. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following site-specific, security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, and taking direction from site leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, stairwells, and building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual or prohibited behavior, verifying credentials and directing visitors to designated areas in accordance with site rules.
• Document security-related activity, incidents, and patrol observations in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
