As a Security Guard – Part-Time Gatehouse Monitor in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential location, you will manage access control by greeting residents and guests, verifying credentials, coordinating visitor entries, and monitoring cameras and alarms. You will complete routine patrols, document incidents, and communicate clearly with property staff to help maintain an orderly environment and help to deter security-related issues. What You’ll Do:

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
Control access at entrances and amenity areas by checking identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized traffic.
Monitor alarms, cameras, intercoms, and/or access control systems; report irregular activity and submit required documentation per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site staff and/or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
