Armed Security Officers

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, personnel, and property, particularly within high-security facilities. This position requires a commanding presence, exceptional conflict-resolution skills, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to a variety of security and emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

Security & Surveillance

• Patrol assigned areas (interior and exterior) by foot or vehicle to detect and deter unauthorized or suspicious activity.
• Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV, alarms, and motion detection systems.
• Control facility access by verifying employee IDs, visitor credentials, and delivery documentation.
• Maintain a visible presence at entry points, perimeters, restricted zones, and high-value areas.
• Escort visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in secure zones as needed.

Incident & Emergency Response

• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, taking immediate and appropriate action.
• Manage conflict and de-escalate potentially volatile situations with professionalism and tact.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services during incidents.

Compliance & Documentation

• Enforce site-specific security protocols and policies.
• Conduct inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure adherence to safety and security standards.
• Maintain accurate and detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and visitor records.
• Ensure proper maintenance and handling of assigned firearms and security equipment in compliance with company policy and state laws.

Requirements & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required); additional training or certifications in security preferred.
• FL State-issued Security License (D&G).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if required for patrol duties).
• Proven experience in security, military, or law enforcement (4 years preferred).
• Proficiency in using surveillance systems and security software.
• Certification in First Aid/CPR (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, effective decisions.
• Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to stand or patrol for extended periods and work in varying environmental conditions.

Preferred Attributes

• Prior experience in security (5 years).
• Military or law enforcement background is a strong plus.
• Multi language.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-stress environments.

Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
