Position Overview:
SMI Security is seeking a highly professional and reliable Bilingual Security Officer to work in the Brickell and Coral Gables areas. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and capable of operating in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong security presence.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to follow detailed post orders, and experience with digital reporting systems. This role involves regular interaction with the public, staff, and management, requiring a high level of professionalism at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring assigned areas.
- Enforce property rules, regulations, and security procedures.
- Utilize mobile reporting applications, incident management systems, and email to document all activities.
- Write clear, accurate, and detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials when required.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, or unusual activity.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist residents, tenants, and visitors.
- Follow all post orders and site-specific instructions with strict attention to detail.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any incidents or concerns.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Florida Security D License.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred (not required, but strongly desired).- Must be tech-savvy and comfortable using mobile apps, reporting systems, and email.
- Must be able to write detailed and professional reports.
- Must have open and flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Must be punctual, dependable, and professional at all times.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel between locations if needed.
Work Environment & Expectations:
- Fast-paced, high-visibility locations in Brickell and Coral Gables.
- Regular interaction with the public and property personnel.
May require standing, walking, and remaining alert for extended periods.
