The ideal candidate will have experience in AP/AR, reconciliation, and collections. Knowledge of Quickbooks is required.

The Bookkeeper will:

- Maintain and balance general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Collect on past due accounts including writing collection letters and making collection calls --- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain complete and accurate supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors as needed.

Experience Required:

-Proven experience in general ledger accounting

-Accounts receivable and accounts payable experience

-Collections experience including writing collection letters

-Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage or similar platforms.

-Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles.

-Experience with financial report writing and analysis.

-Ability to accurately perform 10-key typing for data entry purposes.

-Familiarity with debits and credits and their application in accounting.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
