MOSIDA is an interactive digital art museum in Wynwood where visitors don’t just look at art—they become part of it. Our museum combines interactive art, immersive experiences, technology, creativity, and social engagement in a fun, family-friendly environment.

We are looking for a dependable, professional, and friendly Museum Security & Guest Experience Associate who can help maintain a safe and secure environment while also assisting with general museum operations and guest experience.

The Role

This is a dual-purpose position.

Your first responsibility is the safety and security of our guests, employees, exhibits, and facility. You will maintain an active presence throughout the museum, monitor visitor activity, help prevent inappropriate behavior or damage, and respond appropriately when an issue occurs.

When security conditions are normal, you will also work as a Museum Associate, interacting with guests and helping the museum operate smoothly.

We are looking for someone who understands that good museum security is not about standing in one place all day. It is about being observant, approachable, proactive, and aware of what is happening throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

Security & Safety

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the museum
• Monitor visitor activity and help protect exhibits, equipment, and museum property
• Walk through museum areas regularly and identify potential safety or security concerns
• Help manage visitor behavior in a polite but firm manner when necessary
• Monitor entrances, exits, restricted areas, and high-traffic areas
• Assist with emergency situations, evacuations, incidents, and crowd management
• Document and report security or safety incidents
• Assist management with opening and closing security procedures

Guest Experience & Museum Operations

• Welcome visitors and provide friendly assistance
• Answer basic questions about museum experiences and exhibits
• Help visitors use interactive exhibits when needed
• Assist with crowd flow and maintain organized exhibit areas
• Help keep museum areas clean, organized, and presentable
• Support other Museum Associates during busy periods
• Assist with special events, group visits, and other museum activities
• Perform other reasonable museum operational duties when security needs allow

• Friendly and comfortable interacting with adults, families, and children
• Able to remain calm and professional during difficult situations
• Good judgment and strong situational awareness
• Comfortable being active and walking throughout a shift
• Willing to help with general museum operations rather than remaining at a fixed security post
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Previous security, hospitality, museum, attraction, retail, or guest-service experience is preferred
• Basic technology/IT skills are a plus
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
• Security experience or relevant Florida security license is a plus

The Person We Want

We are looking for someone who is security-minded but hospitality-oriented.

You should be able to notice a potential problem before it becomes a problem, while still making visitors feel welcome and comfortable. During quieter periods, you should naturally look for ways to help guests and support the museum team rather than simply waiting for something to happen.

MOSIDA is a highly interactive environment, so this position is best suited for someone who enjoys being active, engaged, helpful, and part of a team.

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
