Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and vigilant Security Officer to safeguard our premises, ensure safety protocols are upheld, and maintain a secure environment for all staff, visitors, and assets. Duties

• Monitor and control access to the facility through physical checks and surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards.
• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Perform detailed inspections of visitors, staff, and contractors to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized entry.
• Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to observe activity and ensure the safety of the environment.
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism using conflict management techniques to de-escalate disputes.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incident reports, access logs, and CCTV footage documentation.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious behavior and implementing preventative measures.
• Stay informed about security procedures and legal requirements related to law enforcement interactions and safety protocols.

Skills

• Proven experience in security roles or law enforcement with a strong understanding of security operations.
• Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and alarm monitoring tools.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations calmly and effectively.
• Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and procedures for deterring theft or vandalism.
• Military or law enforcement background is a plus, bringing discipline and strategic thinking to the role.
• Excellent observational skills combined with attention to detail during patrols and inspections.
• Physical fitness capable of standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods while maintaining alertness at all times. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 – $17.50 per hour
