Position Overview

Universal Security Guard Association, Inc. (USGA) is seeking top qualified, professional, and reliable licensed Unarmed Security Officers to support maritime infrastructure protection at Port Everglades. Officers perform front-line security operations that directly impact public safety, traffic flow, and asset protection. This position requires constant alertness, strict adherence to procedures, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

This is NOT a desk, guard gate, or an indoor position, and is not suitable for individuals seeking a low-activity role.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct vehicle inspections, including trunk and cargo screening
• Verify credentials and identification
• Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic
• Maintain continuous post coverage
• Enforce security protocols and post orders
• Operate in coordination with law enforcement agencies

Minimum Qualifications:

• Florida Class “D” Security License
• TWIC Card
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather
• Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods
• Demonstrated reliability and attendance history
• Security experience preferred; military/law enforcement strongly preferred

Employment Conditions:

• Attendance-based scheduling
• Probationary employment period applies
• Failure to meet performance or attendance standards may result in termination
