Unarmed Security Guard

Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring property, preventing theft, and maintaining a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors. This role requires strong observation skills, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. Prior experience in security, along with relevant certifications such as D License, CPR and First Aid. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a secure environment while developing valuable skills in surveillance and conflict management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
• Observe and report any unusual or illegal activity using CCTV systems and surveillance equipment
• Enforce property rules and regulations to prevent theft, vandalism, or other misconduct
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations when certified in First Aid or CPR
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations
• Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries in a professional manner
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
• Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations effectively
• Screen guests upon entry to the complex

Experience

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV is advantageous
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Demonstrated ability to observe details carefully and act decisively in emergency situations

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.50 – $16.50 per hour
