Education & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of operational coordination within large-scale event or emergency management environments.
- Experience in communications planning, operational workflows, and incident escalation procedures.
- Experience with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS).
- Experience supporting control room or command center operations, preferably within law enforcement, emergency response, or event security settings.
- Background in national or international football, or other major international sporting events.
- Proficiency in operational data and coordination platforms, with strong attention to accuracy, structure, and timeliness.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and adapt to fast-paced environments.
Willingness to work extended and non-standard hours during tournament operations, including shifts and rotating watch duties.
High degree of professionalism, discretion, and accountability in handling sensitive operational information.
Work Experience
- Minimum five years of experience in major event operations, public safety coordination, security management, or emergency management
Languages
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
Technology
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project), as well as planning and online collaboration tools.
- Experience with data visualization, common operating picture, and incident management platforms that consolidate operational data, reporting, and situational awareness across functions.
- Experience with geospatial and mapping tools, including GIS-based platforms for visualization and operational planning.
Familiar with communication and dispatch systems, including radio, VoIP, and other unified communications technologies that enable real-time coordination between command centers and field personnel.
