Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patrols of assigned premises, utilizing access control systems to monitor entry and exit points.
• Perform surveillance activities using CCTV cameras and other security technology to identify suspicious activity or potential threats.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including medical incidents, fire alarms, or security breaches, following established emergency response procedures.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security events, violations, or accidents with clarity and accuracy.
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to handle disputes professionally while maintaining safety for all parties involved.
• Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and fire extinguishers as needed during emergencies.
• Assist with performing background checks on visitors or contractors to ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Support heavy lifting or manual handling tasks when required for equipment or supplies related to security operations.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with directions or inquiries while maintaining a vigilant security presence.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Class D (Basic Security Officer) license and Class G (Guard Card) license are required.
• Prior experience in physical security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems, access control procedures, and incident report writing is essential.
• Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and fire safety is strongly recommended.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks and heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety standards.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations is vital.
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and customer interactions.

Pay: $25.00 – $33.00 per hour
