Job Description

Position Summary

Aventura Mall is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to support operations within our 24/7 Communications Center. This role serves as the central coordination point for facilities, security, and guest response, ensuring safe and efficient mall operations in a high-traffic luxury retail environment.

The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, able to multitask, and skilled in communication, documentation, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispatch engineering, housekeeping, and security personnel for maintenance issues, safety concerns, medical incidents, and service requests
  • Monitor and track all radio communications, maintaining accurate and time-stamped security logs
  • Proactively monitor CCTV systems to identify potential safety hazards, suspicious activity, operational issues, or maintenance needs before they escalate
  • Conduct routine and targeted camera sweeps to detect spills, trip hazards, overcrowding, equipment malfunctions, or other conditions requiring housekeeping or engineering response
  • Coordinate response to emergency and non-emergency incidents, ensuring appropriate resource deployment
  • Document and assist with preliminary investigations involving guest or employee incidents, including slip-and-fall and trip-and-fall cases
  • Review security camera footage to support investigations and incident verification
  • Prepare incident reports and maintain documentation for legal and liability purposes
  • Answer multi-line phone systems and provide professional customer service to tenants, guests, and internal departments
  • Maintain situational awareness during peak traffic periods, special events, and emergencies
  • Escalate critical situations to management and emergency services as required
  • Serve as the communication link between security, facilities, operations, and mall leadership

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certifications preferred
  • Experience in dispatch, communications center, security operations, facilities coordination, or a related field preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computer systems and incident reporting software
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during emergency situations
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Customer service experience preferred

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced retail and hospitality environment
  • 24/7 operations requiring flexibility with shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Extended periods of monitoring radios, cameras, and computer systems
