Job Description

As a Security Officer – Armed Driver Powerplant in Hialeah, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to issues with clear communication and strong customer service. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with onsite personnel and/or local emergency services partners as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access points by verifying identification and/or authorization, screening for prohibited items as required, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries per post orders.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in a timely manner, and communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or the client representative.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Corrections Officer license.
  • Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree with 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
