Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the facility using CCTV surveillance systems and physical patrols to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities, and maintaining logs of all visitors, staff, and contractors.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations by following established emergency response procedures, including administering first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities to ensure accurate record-keeping and follow-up actions.
• Perform background checks on new employees or contractors as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security regulations.
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management strategies to handle disputes calmly and professionally.
• Operate specialized security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where legally permitted), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), CCTV cameras, and fire alarm systems to maintain physical security.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability in surveillance techniques including CCTV operation and manual patrolling.
• Valid certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety are required; additional training in Taser use or firearm handling is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of emergency response procedures, incident report writing, and compliance with security regulations.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks necessary for patrolling or equipment management.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with visitors or staff.
• Ability to perform background checks accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
