Armed Security Officer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets. This role requires a proactive approach to security, with the ability to respond effectively to various situations while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, providing assistance as necessary.
• Conduct regular inspections of premises, ensuring all security measures are in place and functioning correctly.
• Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order within the facility.
• Provide first aid and CPR when required, ensuring the safety of individuals in emergency situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities accurately in reports for future reference.
• Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions related to loss prevention, surveillance techniques, and other relevant skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in law enforcement or security-related roles is preferred.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in conflict management or loss prevention are a plus.
• Familiarity with surveillance equipment and CCTV systems is essential.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to assess situations quickly and accurately.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, staff, and law enforcement personnel.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure environments.
• Must possess a valid armed security officer license/certificate as mandated by state regulations.
• Military experience is advantageous but not mandatory; candidates with a militarized background will be considered favorably.
