Unarmed Security Officer

Job Description:

Overton Security is currently hiring for an Unarmed Security Officer in the Los Angeles area for a local shopping center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires keen observation skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Pay Rate: $19.50/hr paid weekly

Schedule: Open Availability is required (to include days, nights, overnights, holidays and weekends)

Patrol Type: FOOT

Hard Requirements:

• Open Availability
• Local to the site – No More than 25 mi.
• No issues with transportation or distance.
• Customer Service Experience
• Technically Savvy
• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication
• Be Able to Walk/ Stand for a Long Periods of Time

Experience Level Required: 2+ Years

Duties:

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Monitor perimeter fencing for any breaches or damage
• Provide customer service to the general public
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and for important occurrences.
• Communicate with local fire and police, Overton Management, SOC and the customer.
• Maintain a friendly demeanor towards employees, coworkers, etc…
• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.

Experience & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Have a current Guard Card.
• Have adequate English communication skills, both oral and written
• Have the ability to utilize wireless technology via mobile applications
• Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards
• Must have a neat and professional appearance and hygiene standards
