Main Gate Security Guard For Busy Residential Community

As mentioned, this can be either a full or part time schedule, depending on the needs of the employee.

The part time position works Saturday and Sunday from 4 pm to midnight

We also have available shifts Monday, Tuesday and Friday — all during swing hours — if someone wants a full time 40 hour a week schedule. We could also work out 32 or 24 hours but the weekend work is essential.

Prior residential security experience preferred but not required.

The position’s primary responsibility is handling access control at a busy, main residential gate. Especially on the weekends, this position is responsible for ensuring all vehicles and persons who enter property are authorized to be on property. This requires verification, reviewing phone lists, making calls, asking questions to drivers. Letting someone into the residential community unchecked is grounds for immediate termination.

Good, clear documentation is critical at this busy post. Please, if you prefer a quiet, chill guard location this is definitely Not the right position for you. This post is for someone who likes to keep active and is good at multitasking. Also, it goes without saying that, being a main, busy gate, some persons entering property may get impatient and rude. The security guard must always stay calm, however, professional, and be very good at conflict resolution. Strong customer service skills are required.
