Full time 32-40 hours per week 7a-4p M-F (1 hour lunch unpaid)

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a personable security officer for a 300-unit condominium complex in Rolling Hills Estates 90274. Officer will be responsible for maintaining community safety, security and resident relations with on-site HOA office.

Duties:

Walking property, buildings, hallways, rec/pool area, exterior paths, drives and garages.

Inspect for unusual activity, unusual people, fire, smoke, leaks, noises, cleanliness, trash.

Approach and speak with visitors, contractors and residents.

Deter unauthorized activities and identify potential hazards.

Respond swiftly to suspicious behavior or incidents.

Lock and unlock community amenities (pool, clubhouse, courts, etc.).

Report HOA compliance violations. Enforce community rules and regulations with professionalism, managing conflicts effectively through conflict management techniques.

Enforce all HOA security protocols with professionalism.

Check for parking permits and issuing parking violations when necessary.

Pick up trash if visible and empty trash receptacles that may be overflowing.

Notify property manager if there is a need for repairs or maintenance.

Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents by assessing situations accurately and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.

Shut off water/gas valve or electric breaker in an emergency as directed or trained.

Lock/Unlock fire lane road access.

Assist property manager in any situation requiring Security that may arise in the condo complex.

Maintain safety protocols, monitor surveillance systems, and respond promptly in-person to incidents.

Write accurate reports of incidents, security events, hazard or maintenance concerns.

Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious activity and implementing measures to protect residents’ property.

Perform all other work-related duties as assigned by the property manager.

Required:

Professional appearance, calm, authoritative and personable by nature.

Friendly and courteous.

Strong communication and observation skills.

Ability to answer and operate mobile phone, write and send emails, texts, take photos and attach to messages.

Fluent English/Spanish required. Any other languages welcome.

Physical fitness to perform patrols on foot for extended periods, climb stairs and respond swiftly when required. Lift up to 50Lbs. To hear, speak and have good vision. Must not be afraid of heights up to 4 stories.

Desired but not required:

Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields.

Certifications in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and conflict management.

Plumbing experience.

Familiarity with surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and loss prevention strategies.

Pay: $21.00 – $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
