Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated Security Officers / Lobby Ambassadors to become an integral part of our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees at a high end technology client in Santa Monica, CA

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate departments or individuals
  • Provide general administrative support, such as filing, scanning, and photocopying documents
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
  • Receive and distribute mail and packages
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars
  • Assist with meeting and event coordination
  • Following Post orders for the assigned location.
  • Be the liaison between the Client Specialist and GAP Management
  • Patrol hourly. (as needed).
  • Check Email at the beginning of their shift (and as needed).
  • Complete Daily Pass-down to other shift(s).
  • Make sure all reports are completed and filled out accurately on your shift. (if applicable)
  • Ensure all visitors and vendors are being cleared for entry.
  • Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes etc.
  • Request emergency personnel for high – risk situations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Local security certifications required / Active Guard Card (BSIS).
  • 1+ year experience working as a receptionist may be substituted with experience in the military, law enforcement, or a public/private sector security organization.
  • High school degree or GED or equivalent years of experience.
  • Current CPR and Basic Life Support First Aid certification.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and provide feedback when requested.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the security, medical, emergency services, law enforcement, military, or customer service and Tech industry is helpful.
  • Basic understanding of incident response, Crisis Management, Incident Management, Emergency Response, situational awareness & de-escalation.
  • Quality customer service oriented interpersonal skills, and special techniques to promote client values, and interact formally and informally with business partners internal and external.
  • Strong communicator, with both verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be punctual and have good time management skills.
  • Must have good customer service skills / good communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 20.5 lbs. to support site security operations as required.
  • Ability to stay on your feet for extended periods of time for Incident Management or support to security operations.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with computers and security equipment, including camera monitoring, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Familiarity with security officer processes and procedures, access control and visitor management safety inspections, emergency response, and basic threat detection.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional schedules including holidays, nights, and weekends to adapt to our 24/7 operation, to include working a rotating schedule to support security operations.
  • High resiliency, with the ability to work well independently, and in a team environment.
  • Basic experience with computer based technologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
