You will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, manage access points and badges, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location open to the public.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of galleries, public areas, offices, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy issues.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, crowd management, and/or coordinating with local public responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify credentials when required, and document entries, exits, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete detailed activity and incident reports, communicate observations to site leadership, and use security-related systems such as radios, alarms, and/or video monitoring as assigned.


Minimum Requirements:

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
