AHM Santa Clarita provides transitional housing and resident centered care services for clients suffering from mental health, addiction, and/or dual diagnosis. The ideal candidate wants to help break the cycle of clients moving from crisis centers to housing instability and back to crisis centers.
Availability: This is a Full-time position. The ideal candidate is looking for Full-time work and is available to work Monday – Friday for the NOC shift 10pm – 6:30am.
Position Description:
Protecting people, property, and assets. Duties and responsibilities include guarding, foot patrolling, monitoring premises to prevent theft, negative behaviors and answering phones, while remaining alert and vigilant while on duty. Reports to Community’s Executive Director.
· Respond to security-related complaints and ensure proper documentation is completed as required.
· Respond to Emergency calls including medical, fire and damage to property.
· Maintain and submit Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports, Accident Reports, Hazard Reports, and Condition Reports.
· Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements:
· Must have compassion for and desire to work in a mental health environment.
· California Security Guard License.
· Appropriate Bureau of Security and Investigative Services certificate from the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
· Preferred certification of a minimum of 40 hours of training in de-escalation in facilities like our communities.
· Must be able to pass a DOJ criminal background check and other Certifications as required by the State.
· Must meet all health requirements, including TB.
· Minimum of 2 years of Security Experience.
· Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Excellent detail-oriented organizational skills, with regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
