Security Officer

Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment across our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring property, preventing theft, and ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, and assets. This role requires a professional with strong observational skills, conflict management abilities, and relevant security experience. Prior background in law enforcement, military service, or security operations is highly valued. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in enforcing safety protocols and responding effectively to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated areas regularly to deter unauthorized access and monitor for suspicious activity
• Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems and other security technology to ensure property safety
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if certified
• Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent loss prevention issues and maintain order
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism, de-escalating potential disputes or disturbances
• Write detailed incident reports accurately and promptly following any security-related events
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of visitors or staff entering the premises
• Maintain a visible presence to provide reassurance to staff and visitors

Qualifications

• Previous experience in law enforcement, military, or security roles preferred
• Certifications in CPR and First Aid are highly desirable; willingness to obtain these certifications is a plus
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and loss prevention techniques
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to handle stressful situations professionally and effectively
• Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations (if applicable)

This position is a contract position for Friday’s and Saturdays from 2am-6am in a club setting, perfect for someone with the ambition to make good, quick money on the weekends with the potential for it being consistent work for the right individual.
