POSITION SUMMARY:

The Road Captain will be competent in supervising all RAMCO Protective Site Managers, Gate Attendants, and Roaming Patrol. In addition, the Road Captain will coordinate the surveillance, service, and protection of RAMCO Protective Managed Communities, Team Members, Residents/Owners, Guests/Visitors, Service Providers, Developer Construction, etc. and will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager within his/her Division. The Road Captain will be an expert in training and supervising the RAMCO Team in their Division for supplying service for Gate Access Control while observing and reporting any suspicious behavior, vandalism, theft, and/or other criminal and/or unfavorable behavior. The Road Captain must be well-trained in Customer Service, Consistency and Communication including, but not limited to, RAMCO Administration, RAMCO Gate Attendants/Patrol, Board of Directors, Community Management, Residents, Guests, Developers, Service Providers, etc.. The ideal candidate will inspire the Team and respect authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help RAMCO Protective in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping RAMCO Protective Managed Communities and Facilities safe and problem-free.

Responsibilities

  • Available by email/text 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
  • Available by phone during their shift.
  • Managing communication with gate staff.
  • Communication with clients.
  • Checking surveillance interior, exterior, and vehicle cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
  • Performs random site inspections.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Passionately recruit individuals to join the Team who can complete assigned tasks.

· Inspiring and motivating employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives.

· Manage schedules for all sites within their Division while updating schedules in GuardX when changes are made throughout the week.

· Receives weekly timesheets and updates.

· Coordinating coverage for callouts and open shifts. If coverage is unavailable, they are required to work that shift.

· Ensures all positions are staffed according to contract requirements and effectively manages branch overtime through proper scheduling and staffing.

· Maintains a qualified, sufficient pool of rovers for backfill of vacant positions as needed.

· Conducts disciplinary and counseling sessions with security professionals as needed in a proactive and professional manner.

· Ensures all such issues are documented according to company standards, and that all issues receive proper follow up for resolution.

  • Initiates termination procedures as needed for voluntary and involuntary separations.
  • Executes termination meetings as necessary and completes all follow-up documentation according to company standards.
  • Maintains regular proactive contact with Regional Operations Manager to ensure all staff are being effectively utilized, professionally trained, and ready for placement as needed.
  • Ensures all hiring, counseling, disciplinary and termination procedures are executed in a consistent manner.
  • Maintains high employee morale and low employee turnover through effective and proactive communications and timely problem resolution.
  • Ensures a smooth-running operation by enforcing post specific policies and procedures through proper communication and training. May utilize field training staff to assist in executing post-specific training
  • Maintains a well-organized, clean, and effective working area, and ensures all daily, weekly deadlines are consistently met.
  • Prepares and runs all required reports as directed by managers, reviews such reports in a timely manner with management team, and takes appropriate action as necessary to address any report discrepancies or operational issues
  • Performs additional projects or tasks as may be directed by managers.
