We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Access Control Officer to manage entry points and monitor security systems during specific shifts. This role involves controlling access for employees, visitors, and contractors, as well as conducting surveillance activities to maintain a secure environment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding safety standards. Duties

• Authorize and verify access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors according to established procedures
• Monitor CCTV systems to observe activity at entry points and surrounding areas, ensuring security protocols are followed
• Conduct visual inspections of access points, fences, and surrounding premises to identify potential security breaches or hazards
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies by coordinating with emergency services when necessary
• Maintain accurate logs of all access activities, CCTV footage reviews, incident reports, and shift documentation
• Enforce loss prevention measures by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when appropriate
• Support emergency response efforts through first aid or CPR if required during incidents

Skills

• Strong understanding of surveillance techniques using CCTV systems and other security technology
• Knowledge of conflict management strategies to handle tense situations professionally
• Ability to perform first aid and CPR in emergency scenarios
• Background in law enforcement, military, or security roles is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and visitors
• Experience in loss prevention practices to deter theft or vandalism
• Familiarity with security protocols related to access control systems and CCTV monitoring
