Overview
As an Access Control Officer working Thursday through Monday from 11 PM to 7 AM, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of our designated facility during overnight hours. Your primary responsibility will be managing access points, monitoring surveillance systems, and ensuring that only authorized personnel enter the premises. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a secure environment while utilizing your skills in law enforcement, surveillance, and conflict management.

Responsibilities

• Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by verifying credentials and authorizations
• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems to observe activity around the facility and detect any suspicious behavior
• Conduct regular visual inspections of entry points, fences, and surrounding areas to ensure security integrity
• Respond promptly to security incidents or breaches, escalating issues according to protocol
• Maintain detailed logs of access activity, incidents, and patrols for record-keeping purposes
• Collaborate with emergency responders if necessary, providing support during incidents or emergencies
• Enforce safety policies and conflict management procedures to uphold a secure environment

Requirements

• Prior experience or training in security operations, law enforcement, or military service is highly desirable
• Knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance techniques, and loss prevention strategies
• Certified in first aid and CPR; additional certifications such as conflict management or law enforcement training are a plus
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential threats quickly
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and incident documentation
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high alertness levels
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and perform visual inspections for extended periods
