Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Access Control Officer to join our night shift team from Wednesday to Saturday, 11 PM to 7 AM. This role involves managing access control systems, conducting surveillance, and ensuring physical security protocols are strictly followed. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a secure environment through effective monitoring and incident management.

Duties

• Authorize access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors in accordance with security procedures
• Operate and monitor access control systems to regulate entry and exit points
• Conduct surveillance using CCTV cameras, perform visual inspections, patrol designated areas, and perform fence checks
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies by following established procedures
• Write detailed incident reports, shift logs, and maintain accurate records of all activities
• Perform background checks on personnel when required and assist law enforcement agencies during investigations
• Execute emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols, AED operation, CPR, Taser deployment (if certified), and heavy lifting when necessary

Requirements

• Proven experience in physical security or law enforcement roles is preferred
• Knowledge of surveillance technology, access control systems, and security equipment such as Taser, firearm handling, AEDs, and first aid kits
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and physical patrolling for extended periods
• Strong conflict de-escalation skills with the ability to manage conflicts professionally and effectively
• Excellent incident report writing skills with attention to detail
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures including fire safety, first aid (CPR), AED operation, and conflict management techniques
• Valid certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation (or willingness to obtain) are highly desirable
• Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision

Pay: $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
