Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Access Control Officer to join our team on a part-time basis, working Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM. In this role, you will be responsible for managing access to designated facilities, conducting surveillance, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. Your dedication will help maintain a secure environment through attentive monitoring, incident response, and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Authorize and verify entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors in accordance with established procedures
• Operate access control systems to monitor and regulate movement within secure areas
• Conduct surveillance using CCTV cameras and perform visual inspections to identify potential security issues
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical incidents or security breaches, following emergency response procedures
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and access records accurately and promptly
• Perform patrolling duties around the facility perimeter and interior zones to detect suspicious activity or hazards
• Assist in performing background checks on personnel as required by security regulations

Requirements

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of surveillance systems, access control systems, and physical security protocols
• Ability to perform first aid procedures including CPR, AED operation, and basic emergency response techniques
• Capable of manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and conflict de-escalation when necessary
• Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor at all times
• Familiarity with incident report writing and compliance with security regulations
• Ability to remain alert during scheduled shifts while maintaining high attention to detail
• Valid certifications in Taser use, firearm handling (if applicable), first aid/CPR/AED are advantageous

Pay: $17.50 per hour
