Unarmed Security Officer

Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. Duties

• Monitor and control access points using security systems and verification procedures
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify potential security risks or breaches
• Perform surveillance activities utilizing CCTV cameras and other security technology
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies following established protocols
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any suspicious activity or security breaches
• Assist visitors and staff with inquiries, providing a professional and welcoming presence
• Execute emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety measures

Skills

• Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and security equipment such as access control systems
• Experience with law enforcement procedures or military background is advantageous
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary
• Skilled in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity
• Familiarity with performing background checks for visitors or contractors
• Proficient in conflict de-escalation, conflict management, and conflict resolution strategies
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED use, and fire safety protocols
• Capable of operating Taser devices and handling firearm safety regulations (if applicable)
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor in high-pressure situations
• Understanding of compliance with security regulations and physical security practices
• Ability to conduct patrolling efficiently while maintaining vigilance throughout shifts

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
