Job Description

Security Officer (Mobile Advisor)

This position serves as a Security Officer, also known as a Mobile Advisor, and is an hourly, non-exempt role reporting to the Safety, Security, and Transportation Manager.

At Job Corps, our mission is to provide young people with the skills, structure, and support they need to become responsible, employable, and independent adults. This role is a direct part of that mission.

This is not a passive security position. It is a leadership role on the front line. You are responsible for maintaining a safe and structured environment while also serving as a mentor, role model, and standard-bearer for student behavior.

What You Bring

You bring discipline, awareness, and the ability to lead without needing a title. You understand how to enforce standards while still treating people with dignity and respect. You are steady under pressure and consistent in your actions.

What You Gain

You gain experience beyond traditional security work. This role builds leadership, conflict resolution, and mentoring skills that carry forward into law enforcement, management, and other professional paths. You will be part of a structured environment where expectations are clear and your role has purpose.

Employees in this position are expected to model and reinforce excellence in the eight Career Success Standards. This includes workplace ethics, communication, interpersonal skills, multicultural awareness, personal growth, and independent living. Every interaction is an opportunity to teach and influence.
