Class G Security Guard

Job Summary:

We are seeking a professional, dependable, and safety-focused Class G Security Guard to join our private school team. The ideal candidate will help maintain a secure, welcoming, and orderly environment for students, staff, parents, and visitors while upholding the school’s policies and values.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and patrol school grounds, parking areas, and buildings

Control campus access and verify visitors upon entry

Assist with student arrival and dismissal procedures

Respond promptly to safety concerns, disturbances, or emergencies

Maintain daily activity and incident reports

Observe and report suspicious behavior or security risks

Support school administration during events and activities

Help enforce school safety procedures and campus rules

Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary

Qualifications:

Valid Florida Class G Security License required

Valid Florida Class E Driver License required

High school diploma or GED

Previous security, law enforcement, military, or school security experience preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations

Must pass a background screening and drug test

CPR/First Aid certification preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk and stand for extended periods

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Ability to respond quickly during emergencies

Schedule:

Monday–Friday

Day shifts with occasional evenings or special events as needed
