Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will support site operations with strong customer service and communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $15.52 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and sharing information with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout shipping, receiving, warehouse, trailer, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor access, and report suspicious behavior, damaged barriers, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support the orderly flow of people, vehicles, and deliveries across the location while following post orders and reporting hazards, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
