Armed Security Officer – Disaster Relief Operations

Job Summary
We are hiring Level 2 Armed Security Officers and Supervisors to perform protective services under FEMA contracts. This role requires highly trained professionals with military or security experience, active firearms certification, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Escorting and detaining individuals
• Crowd control and handling combative persons
• Make shoot/no-shoot decisions and safely operate firearms
• Maintain state security officer certification and all required local permits
• Maintain certifications and leicenses in CPR, First Aid, AED, firearms
• Perform physical security tasks such as running, climbing, lifting, carrying, or dragging heavy objects

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• High school diploma, GED, military records, or POST training completion
• Prior military or security experience required
• At least 21 years of age
• Active federal, state, and local firearms permits as applicable
• All required licenses, permits, registrations, or certifications to perform the job

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking, standing, sitting, and stooping
• Occasional running, sprinting, and climbing stairs or obstacles
• Ability to lift, carry, drag, pull, or push heavy objects
• Ability to subdue and control individuals as needed

Licenses and Certifications

• CPR, First Aid, AED Certifications
• D Security License & G Statewide Firearms License
• Current firearms qualification record
• MOAB or equivalent De Escalation Training Certificate
• Job Type: Full-time Long Term Contract

Pay: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour
