Armed Guard

Overview

AF1 Protective Agency is seeking highly qualified Armed Guards to provide top-tier security services across Florida. This position carries significant responsibility and requires individuals with proven firearm proficiency, sound judgment, and an unwavering commitment to the safety of people and property. Armed Guards represent the highest level of protective capability within AF1 and are expected to conduct themselves with precision, discretion, and professionalism at all times.

Other locations include: Miami, Miami Beach, North Miami, Riviera Beach, Tampa.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide armed security presence at assigned posts, deterring criminal activity and threats
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance systems and access points
• Respond to and manage security incidents, including use-of-force situations, within legal authority
• Implement and enforce strict access control procedures
• Escort personnel, assets, or executives as directed
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during critical incidents
• Maintain firearm readiness, cleanliness, and compliance with all state regulations
• Prepare detailed, accurate incident and activity reports
• Maintain composure and sound judgment in high-pressure situations

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid Florida Class D Security License (required)
• Valid Florida Class G Statewide Firearm License (required)
• Demonstrated firearm proficiency and adherence to all use-of-force policies
• Prior law enforcement, military, or armed security experience strongly preferred
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Exceptional physical fitness — this role may require rapid physical response
• Strong judgment, situational awareness, and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Professional appearance and exemplary conduct at all times
• Must pass comprehensive background check, psychological screening, and drug testing

Pay: $21.00 – $22.00 per hour
