Security Floater Officer – On-Call 24/7 Weekend and Weekday Mornings, Evenings, and Overnights (High-Profile Commercial Properties)

We are seeking a professional and dependable Security Floater Officer to support multiple high-profile commercial properties. This position requires flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to professionalism, as it is on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

As a Floater Officer, you will serve as part of our rapid-response coverage team, providing immediate support for call-offs, vacancies, special assignments, and emergencies. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in adaptability, strong work ethic, and exceptional service standards.

60-Day Floater Program

All new hires begin in our Floater Program for a minimum of 60 days before becoming eligible for a permanent full-time schedule.

This program is designed to:

• Train officers across multiple sites and post assignments
• Build versatility and readiness to perform under varying conditions
• Allow leadership to assess dependability, attitude, and performance
• Reward officers who consistently demonstrate initiative and flexibility

Upon successful completion, officers may be assigned to a permanent post based on performance, reliability, and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide short-term or emergency coverage across multiple client sites
• Maintain access control, monitor CCTV systems, and conduct patrols
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents and emergencies
• Document all patrols, incidents, and daily activity using reporting software
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and management
• Uphold company and client standards for professionalism, appearance, and conduct

Requirements

• Minimum 1 years of professional security experience (commercial or high-rise preferred)
• 
  Active Level II or Level III license (as required by state law)
• 
  Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
• 
  24/7 on-call availability, including weekends and holidays
• Strong communication, customer service, and situational awareness skills
• Dependable, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing site needs.
• Must have availability 7 days a week 3rd shift.

Pay & Performance

Compensation is merit-based, reflecting both job performance and willingness to assist 24/7.
Officers who demonstrate reliability, initiative, and consistent availability are eligible for performance pay increases and priority consideration for permanent assignments.
