This role requires the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, monitor property and personnel, enforce safety procedures, and handle incidents with confidence and professionalism. The officer will be responsible for patrol, access control, surveillance monitoring, incident response, and maintaining a visible presence at all assigned locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patrols of assigned grounds, parking areas, buildings, and surrounding zones to deter suspicious activity
- Monitor and operate CCTV surveillance systems and other security equipment
- Maintain a visible security presence to promote safety and prevent incidents
- Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and security-related incidents
- Enforce site safety procedures, visitor policies, and access control protocols
- Address disturbances and resolve conflicts using professional de-escalation techniques
- Provide emergency support during incidents, including First Aid/CPR when necessary
- Work closely with property management, staff, clients, and local law enforcement during incidents or investigations
- Document and report all incidents, observations, and actions taken in a clear, accurate, and timely manner
- Support safety and security operations during special events or after-hours assignments as needed
Qualifications / Experience
- Must possess a valid Texas Commissioned Security Officer License (Level III)
- Must have an active Texas Commissioned Security Officer card in hand at the time of application
- Must have 4+ years of experience in the security field
- Must be over 25 years old due to company driver policy
- Must have a clean driving record
- Prior armed security experience preferred
- Law enforcement or military background is a plus
- Strong knowledge of security procedures, patrol techniques, and emergency response
- Experience with surveillance systems (CCTV) and reporting procedures
- Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional in high-pressure situations
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
- Ability to interact professionally with clients, staff, visitors, and the public
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred
- Must be dependable, punctual, and capable of standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods
Daily responsibilities include outside patrol and driving. Candidates must be comfortable standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods while maintaining a professional, approachable, and authoritative presence always.
