Smith Protective Services has an immediate opening for a talented and motivated Security Operations Manager to help lead operations for our Houston Regional Office. This is a salaried, full-time position that requires occasional local travel and being on call outside of regular business hours.

The ideal candidate will provide leadership support to field operations staff to ensure procedural efficiencies and top notch customer service. The individual will be a team player with a can-do attitude who communicates effectively and respectfully within all levels of the organization.

Overview

  • Under the support and guidance of the Regional Manager, the Operations Manager will assist in the administration of the region by:
  • Training, developing and motivating field supervisors and security officers to ensure optimal security operations.
  • Training field supervisors on software systems, procedural guidelines, and company policies and enforcing consistency in policy practice.
  • Overseeing the field staff hiring and onboarding including interviewing, selection of candidates, training and licensure and new hire paperwork with support of regional admin.
  • Maintaining and processing scheduling, payroll and billing on a daily basis. Ensuring all posts are filled for call-offs.
  • Carrying out site assist visits and audits in accordance with the Quality Assurance program.
  • Coordinating with the Regional Manager to establish goals and objectives and communicate these with staff.

Requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Prior experience in Security operations or law enforcement
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office; experience with scheduling/billing systems preferred. TrackTik and SilverTrac experience is a plus

  • Reliable transportation and clear Motor Vehicle Record (Valid Texas Driver License).
  • Ability to travel and regularly visit all site locations in the region

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
