Location: Conroe, TX
Pay Rate: $14.87/hour
Schedule: Thursday – Saturday, 0600 – 1800 (12-hour shifts)
Assignment Type: Temporary (expected duration: a few months)
Future Opportunity: Based on performance, additional assignments may be offered upon completion

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and dependable Security Project Officer for a temporary assignment in Conroe, TX. This role requires strong observation skills, the ability to manage high volumes of personnel and vehicle traffic, and a proactive approach to security and safety.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a structured environment, performing routine patrols, and using computer systems to accurately document and monitor security activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Diligently verify personnel identification, including employee badges, government-issued IDs, and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) cards, to authorize or deny entry
• Conduct thorough and systematic inspections of all incoming and outgoing vehicles to prevent entry of contraband, weapons, and prohibited items
• Maintain a visible and professional security presence at all times to deter unauthorized activity
• Control the flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic into and out of restricted areas
• Maintain accurate, detailed logs of activity, incidents, and vehicle entries using computer systems
• Immediately report security breaches, suspicious activity, or safety hazards to the shift supervisor
• Provide clear, firm, and professional direction to a high volume of contractors, employees, and visitors
• Perform routine foot patrols of the facility to ensure safety and compliance

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must possess a valid TWIC card (required)
• Must be 21 years of age or older (due to driving responsibilities)
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Excellent computer skills with strong ability to input and track data accurately
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency or high-pressure situations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military highly preferred
• Experience working in high-traffic access control environments
• Background in safety or emergency response is a plus
