Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver Full Time in HOUSTON, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a unique cultural institution location, where you will monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and help support a welcoming environment for guests and staff. This driving post combines visible presence, strong communication, and customer service while responding to security-related concerns with integrity, reliability, and teamwork.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions and crowd flow, and report maintenance issues, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations according to site instructions.
• Support special events, exhibitions, and high-traffic periods by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and communicating clearly with guests, staff, and/or first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• 6 or more months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
