Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Field Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a retail location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post calls for professionalism, integrity, and teamwork as you support daily operations with an agile, reliable, and people-first approach.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with local management and/or law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verify access when required, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
• Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by observing customer and employee activity, maintaining a visible presence, and following post orders for retail location operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
