Job Description

As a Security Officer in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and TSA-issued TWIC. You will support a secure environment through clear communication, visible presence, and teamwork while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access at entrances, gates, and designated checkpoints by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor records, and directing authorized individuals to approved areas.
• Respond to access concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, business areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, access-related events, incidents, and irregular conditions in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a TSA-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
