As a Security Guard – Telecom Facility in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic technology and media location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those on site. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any irregularities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or occurrences according to Allied Universal policies and client-specific requirements.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and/or visitors as required by the location.
• Assist in implementing site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and/or visitor management in a technology and media environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
