Armed Security Officer

We are a busy pediatrics clinic who is looking for a competent CONTRACTUAL ARMED SECURITY OFFICER to undertake the protection of our staff and visitors, surveillance of our premises, detect suspicious behavior, and stop vandalism on our property. You will be responsible for keeping the clinic safe and preventing aggression and crimes against our staff and visitors, enforcing clinic rules for visitors, and preventing and stopping criminal behavior. A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire, respect, and be an authority on the premises, and will also possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company maintain excellent working conditions by keeping our facilities safe and problem-free. This position is contractual, from Monday to Saturday. You will be directly under the supervision of the administrative department.

Responsibilities:

• Prioritize the importance of everyday attendance and punctuality
• Available to work Monday-Saturday (every other Saturday)
• Patrol premises regularly every other hour to maintain order and establish presence, including the parking lot
• Monitor and authorize the entrance of vehicles or people in the property
• Remove aggressive visitors, wrongdoers, or trespassers from the area, including the appropriate use of parking spaces
• Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
• Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Maintain a respectful and professional presence with our clinical staff and patients
• Ocassional handyman duties around the clinic and assistance to the overall staff
• Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before the arrival of authorities
• Assist employees with deliveries, boxes, and supplies by carrying, moving, and lifting
• Someone who is punctual, dependable, and looking to work for a company long-term
• Approach and escort patients professionally and have the ability to de-escalate high-tension situations

Skills:

• Proven experience as a security officer or guard
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Professionbally deescelating high-tension situations in a timely and respectful manner
• Patient
• Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
• Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
• Registered as a security officer
• A high school diploma is required’

Must be physically well built and strong, trained to use firearm, know self-defense skills, level-headed, respectful, and at least 5′-10" in height.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
