JOB SUMMARY:
Patrol area on foot and prevent and detect signs of intrusion. Maintain security and safety of visitors,
employees and property.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure security of doors and gates.
- Compare shipping documents and material certificates to the Purchase Order or the supply order requirements to assure compliance with material specification.
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Write reports of daily activities.
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non business hours or when switchboard is closed.
- Warn persons of rule infractions or violations.
- Communicates with co-workers, supervisors and staff from other departments to solve problems, improve quality, processes and services.
- Thoroughly completes report of nightly rounds and other duties as needed.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Must be detailed oriented and have excellent literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities.
- The position is considered semi-sedentary and limited physical requirements are necessary.
- The job requires standing, stooping, bending, pulling, pushing, grasping, walking, carrying and climbing.
- Requires infrequent lifting or carrying of objects up to 50 lbs.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- An individual in this position will be exposed to the following environmental conditions when performing duties: OUTSIDE ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS INSIDE ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- Manufacturing environment; may be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts, and exotic materials.
