Unarmed Security Officer

Job description:

D&L Entertainment Services is now hiring unarmed security officers to work at a Cultural Center in North Dallas.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour.

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR LEVEL II LICENSE IN HAND AND HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR OF SECURITY EXPERIENCE IN WHICH YOU ROUTINELY INTERACTED WITH THE PUBLIC AS WELL AS CLIENT(S).

In this role the right fit candidate will monitor cameras, conduct patrol of the property on foot as well as golf cart, oversee access control and conduct themselves with a concierge security mentality. The cultural center will also host several events each week as well in which a security presence will ensure a seamless experience for all.

The shifts we are looking to fill are:

Open Role #1 (Full-Time): Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Open Role #2 (Full-Time): Tuesday through Saturday from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Open Role #3 (Part-Time): Saturday & Sunday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

Open Role #4 (Part-Time): Saturday & Sunday from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Open Role #5 (Part-Time): Sunday form 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm * Role #5 could also fill in for roles #1 – #4 when there is requested time off/call offs.

We are looking for a mature security officer with at least 1 year of security experience as a licensed guard that excels at interacting with clients and guests.

Job Functions may include:

• Access Control
• Asset Protection
• Enforce venue policy and procedures
• Complete & submit all required reports regarding incidents
• Monitor venue via closed circuit camera, access control, fire detection
• Safeguard venue assets through foot & mobile patrols of the building & grounds
• Have client relationship skills in order to effectively collaborate with clients
• Report unsafe working conditions/practices through chain of command
• Take appropriate first measures to correct any unsafe condition
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to meet attendance standards
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Able to work alone or as part of a team
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must pass all criminal history background checks
• Must be punctual for each shift you committed to working
• Excellent communications skills and guest service focus is a must
• Reliability in showing up for each shift you committed to working is a must
• Must already be in possession of your Level II security license
• Must have at least 1 year of experience as a licensed Level II security officer
• Former Military or Law Enforcement experience a plus
• Problem solving skills in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
• Skills in assessing customer needs and exceeding quality standards of service
