Job Description

As a Security Guard – Visitor Screening Driver in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics distribution location, you will help support day-to-day security-related operations by screening people and items, monitoring activity, and completing routine patrols to help discourage incidents. You will be a visible, professional presence, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and document observations using site technology. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and drivers at entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct inspections of packages, parcels, and deliveries as required, documenting findings and escalating prohibited or suspicious items per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, disputes, and/or medical situations to site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Complete detailed logs and reports, monitor cameras and alarm systems when assigned, and coordinate with on-site personnel to help to deter unauthorized access and/or theft.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
