As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a food and beverage production location, you will manage access control by verifying credentials, issuing badges, and directing visitors and contractors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Bring strong customer service and clear communication as you support an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and/or distribution location.
  • Control access at entry points by checking identification and/or badges, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests, employees, and contractors to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Screen and/or verify inbound and outbound deliveries and service providers by confirming appointments, paperwork, and authorized access prior to entry to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access control systems and security-related alarms, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations through the proper channels.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
