Unarmed Security Officer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents effectively. The Security Officer will play a vital role in loss prevention and ensuring the overall safety of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies.
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV and other security equipment.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Manage conflicts effectively through conflict resolution techniques.
• Document incidents and prepare reports as necessary.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when required for investigations or emergencies.
• Provide first aid or CPR assistance when needed.
• Participate in training sessions related to loss prevention and security protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification is preferred.
• Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is advantageous.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
