You will be responsible for monitoring premises, managing access control, conducting patrols, and responding swiftly to incidents. Duties

• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity and ensure perimeter security.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including building interiors and exterior grounds, to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
• Control access points using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established procedures for fire safety, medical emergencies, or security threats.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for future review and action.
• Perform background checks on new employees or vendors as part of the onboarding process when required.
• Use conflict management techniques and de-escalation skills to handle disputes or disruptive behavior professionally.
• Operate specialized security equipment such as Tasers, firearms (where authorized), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform first aid/CPR when necessary.
• Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of equipment or supplies while maintaining safety protocols.
• Enforce compliance with all security regulations and company policies to uphold a safe environment for everyone.

Experience

• Proven experience in physical security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and access control platforms.
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is preferred; ongoing training will be provided if needed.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures and fire safety protocols essential for effective incident management.
• Ability to perform background checks accurately and thoroughly when required by the organization’s protocols.
• Strong communication skills for incident report writing and interacting confidently with team members and the public.
• Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties, heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and maintain alertness during extended shifts.

Pay: $17.05 – $25.97 per hour
