Unarmed Security Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises and personnel, while also maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. This is a critical role that requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive situations.

Duties:

– Monitor and respond to security alarms and incidents promptly and effectively
– Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both internally and externally
– Maintain a high level of visibility and presence, engaging with employees, visitors, and the public as necessary
– Enforce all security policies and procedures, including access control and surveillance protocols
– Identify and report any potential security breaches or risks
– Provide assistance and support to employees, visitors, and the public, as needed
– Conduct loss prevention activities to prevent theft and property damage
– Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including ensuring that all security equipment is in good working order

– Maintain a high level of situational awareness and be prepared to respond to any situation that may arise
– Demonstrate excellent conflict management skills and be able to de-escalate any potential conflicts
– Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, even in difficult or high-pressure situations

Qualifications:

– A certificate in law enforcement or a related field is required

– Experience in a security-related role or a related field is preferred

– Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
– Possess excellent communication and conflict management skills
– Must be able to maintain a high level of physical fitness and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
– Must be able to demonstrate a high level of situational awareness and be prepared to respond to any situation that may arise
– Must be able to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, even in difficult or high-pressure situations
– Must be able to handle stressful situations and work effectively under pressure
– Must be able to work in a militarized environment and be prepared to respond to any situation that may arise.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
