Hosts first, security always. Be the most visible face of a high-end property near Knox Street in Dallas. If you bring hospitality polish, calm de-escalation skills, and a current Texas guard card, earn $24 to $26 per hour in a front-of-house security role.
About the role
We are hiring unarmed security officers for a high-end property near Knox Street in Dallas. Posts include the parking garage, loading dock, public park, and plaza. The standard on every post is front-of-house. Officers are the most visible face of the property. They greet people, help with wayfinding, and assist guests, residents, tenants, and visitors while staying alert and in control of their post.
The posture is hosts first, security always. De-escalation is the default. Officers observe, report, and de-escalate. Physical intervention is used only to protect a person from imminent harm, and only at the minimum level needed. Officers do not pursue anyone off the property.
Hospitality experience is strongly preferred, especially concierge, front desk, door, or guest-service work in high-end hotels, private clubs, or luxury retail.
Schedule
- Full-time and part-time positions available (3 full-time, 3 part-time)
- Evenings, weekends, and holidays required
What you will do
- Staff assigned posts, including the parking garage, loading dock, public park, and plaza
- Stay on your feet and in view, make eye contact, offer the first greeting, and walk people to where they are going when you can
- Maintain a front-of-house appearance and approach on every post, including the garage and dock
- Use service language. Say "let me help you with that," never "that’s not my job." Own the hand-off until someone else has it
- Greet guests, residents, tenants, and visitors and give clear, polite direction
- Monitor access, vehicles, deliveries, vendors, and after-hours entry
- Report operational issues the same shift they are found: lighting outages, leaks, spills, trash, graffiti, damaged fixtures, gate or parking-system faults, and wayfinding problems
- Control a hazard right away and stay with it until it is handed off
- Support vendor and contractor check-in at the dock, and support retail opening, closing, and events on the plaza and park
- De-escalate complaints, disputes, and people breaking site rules. Enforcement is calm, discreet, and out of the spotlight wherever possible
- Treat every person with dignity, including people experiencing homelessness or panhandling, and follow the written procedure
- Protect the property’s image. Discretion with guest, resident, and tenant matters is required
- Do not take photos, post on social media, or speak to the media about the property or incidents
- Observe, report, and document. Escalate per post orders
- Conduct foot patrols and remain on assigned posts for a full shift
- Use radios and daily logs. Follow post orders exactly
- Request police, fire, or EMS when required. Call police for crimes in progress
- An officer does not leave a post until relieved
Post standards
- This is an unarmed post. No firearm.
- No batons, handcuffs, or chemical agents unless authorized in writing.
- Soft, hospitality-style uniforms. No tactical gear or military-style presentation.

- Level II training complete, and pocket card able to be affiliated with the employing security company

- At least 18 years old
- Reliable transportation to Knox Street, Dallas
- Able to work a set schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Professional spoken English sufficient for guest interaction
- Able to de-escalate, and to act within post orders only when de-escalation is not enough to protect someone from imminent harm
- Willing to complete required training, including hospitality and customer service, de-escalation, first aid/CPR/AED, fire and life-safety basics, ADA awareness, and radio procedure
Strongly preferred
- Hospitality experience in a high-end setting: hotel, concierge, front desk, bell or door staff, fine dining, private club, or luxury retail
- Prior unarmed security in a guest-facing property, including garage or valet-adjacent posts
- Calm under guest pressure, and discreet with guest information
Appearance and grooming
Officers must present a clean, well-kept appearance and meet professional grooming standards on every shift, including garage, dock, and outdoor posts. Conduct, grooming, and tone must meet the Knox Street standard on every shift.
